An Old Postcard Found...
I've posted this Momento Postcard back to Singapore on the very first night that I've touch down in Hawaii back in 1992. Was wondering why the Postcard took so long to reach Singapore. When I'm back, the Postcard was not here yet.
After 17 years of hiding, it has been found. Do you have anything special which is missing for years? Try shifting some cabinet & drawers. You might just find it there. But if you didn't, don't give up, it will somehow comeback to you in one way or another.

Intel Pentium D inside
Work load is getting heavier & heavier as time passes by. Another colleague had decided to leave the team in times of an head count freeze. He's not changing to a new job, but to take time off to relax back in China. He's not the first, but forth & he will not be the last.
Sometimes its so stressful that you need to pamper yourself alot just to drag yourself to work everyday. Like one of my colleague had said, did we just missed the fine print on our contract before signing it? That we are required to have 4 heads & 8 hands to do this job?
As you can see, my friend here had decided to in-plant the Intel Pentium D processor so that he can fulfill the fine print on his contract.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration
Time really fly, it has been a year already into married life. I can tell you that its feeling good & we have a great time celebrating it that day on our anniversary.
We booked the Flyer Signature Flight and had the whole capsule to ourselves for a good 2 rotation. Following that we went for the foot & body massage plus fish spa at Kenko. Their foot massage is really different from those outside as they concentrate mainly on the toes. After feeding the fishes, we had our dinner at Stewords River Boat. Their grills night set is really worth the money as their side dish is unlimited serving. There's also live jazz performances on board.

Late for work on Monday
Totally knock out after 3 nights of straight celebrations, my ears are turning deaf on the alarms, even when my ATL called. Finally woke up at 8am & rush to office, but just as I hit the expressway, I'm stuck in the jam. The accident was around Lentor Ave exit & the jam tails back to Woodlands.
What a Monday. Lucky its peaceful at work & I got to run off at 5.45pm. Heard from my colleague Andrew that IPT will be repackage into a 9 months training instead of just 1 months thingy. Sound bad, will check up on this.
Seriously, I need some good rest. Ring me only after Tue late afternoon ok, unless you have really good news for me or urgent stuff.

Which irritate you most?
[01] Having to justify a 10min break from a 12hours non-stop shift.
[02] 100% of the quarterly incentive taken away if you clock 3 MCs/Urgent Leave.
[03] Approval is required before you can apply leave which is 4 months in advance.
[04] Any leave within 2 weeks from the date of application is consider urgent leave.
[05] If you are going to be late for 1 min, you have to inform before hand.
[06] You need to inform 12hrs before you take MCs.
[07] Being asked to fill up "what should be done to you" when its not even your fault.
[08] Required to support projects that were not even taught.
[09] Loading a google search page means you are very free.
[10] Everyone have to take a staggered time slot for lunch from 11am to 3pm.
Well, that's what my boss are doing... Dose it irritate you too? Or maybe you have even worst scenario? Been really stressful working lately after knowing that there will be no replacement for those who left.
Need a stress releaser to manage your anger without harming a soul? Try out the "Whack Your Boss" or the "Cyber Voodoo Doll" by Doodieman. It really bring out the peace in you & restore the balance within. After all, you won't be required to apply in MEDICS@HSA in order to play it nor you need any Migration Tools to run it in Mac. So, guys & girls, go try it out. I know Riki will excel after all the Voodooing & Whacking as he has been really really stress lately.

What's the hardest to break?
Diamonds? Well they are hard to find but not that hard to break ya.
What is the hardest thing to break then? The answer is an unnoticed routines of behavior that are repeated regularly, tend to occur subconsciously, without directly thinking consciously about.. Yes! HABIT.....
If you break the H, you still have A BIT. If you break the A, you still have BIT. If you break the B, you still have IT!!!
Hey, after you break the T in IT, there is still the 'I'. The person at the end of the day, is the root of all the problems.

Moving Out
Kind of feeling sad when I was leaving my house, a place that I've been living in for the past 28 years, for my new home. Although I can always come back, but the weird phenomenal is just unexplainable.
The neighborhood has really changed alot as compared to the time we moved in. From empty to green & to concrete. Maybe it that I've witness all the changes, and all the good & bad memories which makes me feel sad as I'm moving out of this neighborhood.
Now that I'm on my own in a new neighborhood. A new chapter in life has just begin...

You Have Been Mobilized
Beep Beep! Beep Beep! This is an urgent message from MINDEF! Please call xxxx xxxx to listen to your message.
"All SAF Personnel of the following Code Words are to report to their Mobilization Centres Immediately. This is an Open Mobilization Practice."
What a Message to start the day off, but it has been a while since we had an Open Mobilization. The last one was just right after I ORD back in 2003. Good to see my camp mate again although I've just completed my low key in Sept.
During mobilization exercises, some unit may be required to move out for field exercises after the normal reporting is done. SAF is mindful of the varying commitments of NSmen, hence effort is made to minimise disruption to their civilian careers when mobilization exercises are held. Lucky this is only a Open Mobilization Practice!

Low Key ICT @ 15 Sep 2008
One week of reservist is finally over & most of the objective set has been met. The main objective for this low key ICT are GPMG Range & Chemical Deference refreshing. Its a big group of 80 reservist & many familiar faces among them.
21-1-2.. 21-1-2.. IA.. IA.. 1 round in chamber.. Firing the GPMG is so much fun. About 7 to 8 squeeze on the trigger & all the 50 rounds issued was used up. It will more fun if we were given more rounds to shoot in the range, say a full 200 rounds maybe? The more you shoot, the higher the chances of IA (Immediate Action), but lucky there's no IA for me. Also, the scenery where we fire the GPMG is very nice too.
On our first day of ICT, Thailand had issued a warrant for the arrest of their former Premier Thaksin Shinawatra & guess what, when we first saw our FU Com (Fire Unit Commander), we thought that Thaksin reported staying in England is just a decoy, the real Thaksin was here actually serving his reservist in Singapore. Their looks really resembling each other, just like a replica. He is so far the most talkative FU Com I've ever met!
The side objective to have the canteen burger & wu xiang has also been fulfilled. Its still as yummy as it was before, the taste has not changed abit ever since I ORD 5 years ago. But the prices was up by 20 Cent due to inflation.

What's Under the Green Pocket of Mine?
There are many pockets on the uniform, but every each of them has something in place so that I don't have the need to carry a pouch. Top left pocket hold my pen & camp pass; top right pocket hold my wallet; bottom left pocket hold my car & locker key & bottom right pocket hold my mobile phone. The water bottle sling to my belt & watch on my hand.
This is all the stuff I brought with me to camp... Alot? Tomorrow there will be an additional item. My PSP.. Haha..
