The recent Brookes's case had open up new business opportunity & created an awareness in the field of Insurance. What Studies had to do with Insurance? Do you know?
Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) had release that they did not make buying insurance policies compulsory for local students as there had been mixed reactions when it was first introduced. The insurance policy, which is stipulated under the Student Protection Scheme, assures students that they will get back the remainder of their tuition fees should a school close down. Since local were paying on a term basis, therefore, this policy don't make any sense to them, not like the foreign students who had to pay one lump sum.
In the first place, why didn't the MOE notices it? Singapore is safe, too safe that we had let our guard down & place too much trust in the governing body that such things won't happen here. Our image as a Learning Hub is going to suffer.
Insurance has become a part of one's growing process. It starts when you are had your first cry till the very last breath you take. Now that even studies need insurance, I guess having a relationship insurance or a marriage insurance should not be too far away. No wonder I've been receiving alot of Insurance recruitment calls nowadays & even more appointments for meetup.
