
A man was found dead on the MRT tracks in Choa Chu Kang station on the morning of 7 Apr. The Chinese man in his mid-40s was pronounced dead at 8.30am. Police received a call at 8am that a man had fallen onto the track, near the 5th exit from the rear.
Once again the train services were disrupted. It was closed for about an hour between Yew Tee and Bukit Gombak stations, towards Jurong East. Stranded commuters at Choa Chu Kang station were ferried to connecting stations in a dozen buses sent by SMRT after 8am.
Regular train services was resumed at 8.50am, after the body of the man was removed from the track.
