Beach volleyball is no longer confined to the fine sandy beaches anymore. In fact, the sport has transplanted itself from the beach right to the bustling city centre. Up to 160 tonnes of sand was imported to build a sand court at the entrance of the shopping mall.
Guess we won't be seeing any bikini babes in this Beach volleyball since it's in "Town". It just missing out on something important, like having McNuggets without its dips.
A two-on-two beach volleyball competition is ongoing outside Velocity Mall in Novena. Held over the next two weeks, the competition has four categories - tertiary men and women; and the men and women's open.
