Budget 2007 - GST Offset Package

Post CNY Ang Pow from the government, the GST Offset Package.

How much will you be getting back after paying for the extra 2% GST hike WEF 1 July 07? From the diagram, my guess is i'll be only getting $200/year for 4 years + the one-off $100 as an NSmen that contribute to the national security.

If my spending is $1600 after CPF contributions & regular saving, the amout of extra GST i've to pay will be $32, which make up to $384 a year. Since i'll be getting a $200 off set, i still have to fork out the extra $184. So.. I'm going to spend less & save more WEF 1 July 07 also.
