Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire.. Man this is really a good show. This 8 Oscars winner really bring India to you without having to go there yourselves. Its about a Mumbai teen who grew up in the slums, becomes a contestant on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" but was arrested under suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown which explain why he knows the answers.

Just *ahem* gotten the Soundtrack, those tracks are so mind occupying sia, the main theme O… Saya, the ending theme Jai Ho & not to forgetting the Latika's theme also. It’s hard to sit through this movie and not admire A.R. Rahman’s unique mix of Bollywood with hip-hop.

What does "Jai Ho" mean? Some might wonder. Checked with my colleague Rama & was told that Jai Ho is a phrase that literally means Victory(Jai) Be(Ho). If you say Ram ji Ki Jai Ho, it means "Victory be to Lord Rama". Slumdog kids might say ki jai ho, meaning "Victory be to slumdog kids."
