iPhone 3G Reservationshave closed!

Have you made your reservation? If not, you will miss the chance to be in the first wave of the iPhone roll out this Aug 22. According to the SingTel website, they will be contacting those who have place the reservations for further action like pricing & how to collect.

Although reservation has closed, you can still visit any SingTel Hello store to register your interest on the iPhone from Aug 19 onwards, but you will have to wait till the second batch of iPhone stock to reach our shore.

Hope SingTel would realise that the initial pricing will be very critical when the iPhone gets introduced, considering they won't jack-up the original intended price US$199~SG$280 for 8GB / US$299~SG$420 for 16GB models. Eventually M1 and StarHub will be launching the phone at the end of the year too. Hence, they should be pretty careful with their initial pricing and ensure that their loyal customers are well rewarded after waiting so long for the iPhone.

Definitely, it is going to cause another price war among the recently launched Omnia, the HTC Diamond. Guess it will be a huge price war at the coming Comex 2008 on 28th August 2008, with SingTel pushing out iPhone while StarHub and M1 will have to market Omnia and Diamond as their selling points. Alas, HTC Raphael will only be out in September.

So sad, the price is out, but it's not pocket friendly. Tho the iFlexi plan is really a good mix with Talktime & Data, but the price for the set is too ex.
