Sumatra 7.5 Quake induced tremors

Meteorological Services confirmed that an earthquake occurred in southern Sumatra and said it registered 7.5 on the Richter scale. The quake hit 165 km northwest of Sumatra's Mukomuko at 3.36 pm (0836 GMT) at a depth of 10 km. Tsunami alert was issued.

SCDF hotline received several calls informing it of tremors in Robinson Road, Sembawang, Jalan Sultan, Toa Payoh, Marsiling, Marine Vista, Marine Parade and Pioneer Road.
