Are donations going to Yellow Ribbon Fund?

Are you being asked to donate when walking along the Kwan Im Temple at Waterloo Street by youths?

Yellow Ribbon Project would like to clarify that the Yellow Ribbon Fund is not soliciting donations on the streets or door-to-door, and has not authorised anyone to do so on their behalf, during this period.

Charities licensed to solicit funds in the public would grant their fundraisers a Collector’s Certificate of Authority from National Council of Social Service, or a copy of the police permit. Members of the public can seek verification of the fundraiser’s identity and the authenticity of the fundraising project by requesting for these documents.

Members of the public can contact Yellow Ribbon Project at 6546 9359 in the event of similar solicitations in their name. They will refer such cases to the police for further investigation.
