Prima Food has been given the green light to resume full production operations. This comes after more than three weeks of closure, due to a food poisoning outbreak caused by salmonella bacteria which affected over 200 people.
The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) has found Prima Food's factory operations to be satisfactory. They has been conducting daily monitoring of trial production operations, and stringent tests on raw, semi-processed and processed food samples. AVA will still monitor factory operations to ensure continued compliance with manufacturing and hygiene practices.
In the run-up to full production operations, Prima Food has complied with all food safety requirements.
