New Year Eve Countdown Road Closures

For the safety of participants and to facilitate traffic arrangements for the event, the following roads will be closed to all motorists.

Roads Affected Time:
• Raffles Avenue (Left lane closure after Oriental Hotel) From 5pm on Mon, 31 Dec 07 to 2am on Tue, 1 Jan 08
• Esplanade Drive (1 Lane Closure - Right Lane of both carriageway) From 6pm to 8pm on Mon, 31 Dec 07
• Esplanade Drive (Full Closure) From 8pm on Mon, 31 Dec 07 to 2am on Tue, 1 Jan 08
• Raffles Avenue and Temasek Avenue(Full Closure) From 11.30pm on Mon, 31 Dec 07 to
2am on Tue, 1 Jan 08

Motorists are advised to avoid the affected roads and to slow down should they need to travel along these roads or pass by the affected junctions. Officers will be stationed at all affected road junctions to regulate traffic and assist motorists as well as to facilitate the movement of pedestrians.

Please note that parking at peripheral roads around Esplanade, Marina Bay vicinity; along the ECP (Benjamin Sheares Bridge) and Marina South to watch the fireworks display is strictly prohibited.

To ensure public safety, the footway along Benjamin Sheares Bridge will be closed to the public from 6pm on 31 Dec 07 to 1am on 1 Jan 08.
