Legendary Youtan Poluo?

Could this be the legendary Youtan Poluo flower (优昙婆罗花), which blossoms only once every 3,000 years? Checking on the web & found that there are afew sighting around Asia.


China : A man has found flowers growing from a steel pipe in his vegetable garden. He was surprised to see the patch of tiny white flowers growing on the smooth steel. The flowers open in the mornings, then close when the sun grows strong. Each flower has a diameter of about 1mm.


Vietnam : Fifteen soft stems as small as silk threads, each five centimeters long, have blossomed into small white flowers in a small Dien Ban district village in central Vietnam’s Quang Nam Province.
The stems grow directly from a piece of metal belonging to an unused rice-husking machine. The flower have no access to soil or water.


Singapore : Fresh graduate and her roommate were pleasantly surprised when they noticed six 'very mini' flowers growing on the steel bar of a chair in their room.


Korea : There's also alot of sighting of it on Watermelon, Car, Leather, Roof & even Buddha's statue.
