The advertisement on a rubbish chute door display outside a shop at Block 923 in Yishun is making an unusual promise: "Cockroach prevent dirty smell". The words in Chinese seem more believable - "Prevent Cockroach, Prevent Foul Smell".
Its a true blue heartland promotional board, done by a true blue Singaporean, using true blue Singlish.. Putting the cockroach aside, can a smell be dirty? If this is the case, we will have to start keeping pet roaches..
