Modern Cashier with a Vintage Twist

When was the last time you ever see those milo tin cans being used as a cash container. Its common during the 70s & 80s, usually the provision shop uses it. But nowadays, we can hardly find one.

This picture was taken at Xiao Xuan Feng Restaurant at Tiong Bahru Plaza. As i was sitted beside the cashier, when the patrons make payment via cash, the cashier lady will pull the tin cans down & deposit the payment into it. The action makes me wonder if it's safe this way? And also at the same time reminded me of the good old days when we used to buy Di-Gum from those provision shop.
