According to the media, a 30cm Mortar shell was found in the Circle Line's Bukit Brown construction site by one of the worker. This created a panic when the worker walk into the office with the shell.
The construction site was at Jalan Mashor in the Mount Pleasant area. The Police and bomb disposal squad were on site by 1pm and by 2.30pm, all-clear signal was given to return to the site. According to the Police, two war relics were removed by the bomb disposal squad. One was the mortar shell round and the other was a 10 cm anti-aircraft ammunition.
