Can pay fine with all coins?

Thinking of using all one-cent, five-cent or 10-cent coins to upsad the aunti at the payment counter for your fine?? Just checked that government also got rules to tackle this problem.

According to the Board of Commissioner of Currency, Singapore (BCCS), coins issued by them are legal tender up to certain amounts.

• Coins lower than 50 cents can be used to pay up to $2. This means 200 one-cent coins, 40 five-cent coins, 20 10-cent coins and 10 20-cent coins can be used at one time.

• Coins of 50 cents can be used for an amount not more than $10, and

• Coins exceeding 50 cents can be used to pay any amount.
